Safety and Security Advisor Atterbury Job Corps Center | Edinburgh, IN

Are you alert, dependable, and committed to keeping others safe? At Atterbury Job Corps, our Safety and Security Advisor helps maintain a secure living and working environment for students and staff — investigating incidents, conducting safety inspections, and responding quickly when it matters most.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Help maintain a safe and secure Center environment for students and staff

  • Investigate accidents and incidents under management direction, preparing reports and recommending corrective action

  • Conduct routine safety inspections of Center equipment and facilities to identify potential hazards

  • Enforce occupational safety and health regulations and standards

  • Conduct and document incident and accident investigations within established timelines

  • Perform Center-wide security tours and assist with student monitoring and supervision

  • Respond to emergency situations and requests

  • Oversee Center security, visitor control, and student accountability

  • May assist dorm staff with inspections and contraband searches

  • Maintain the security and cleanliness of Center facilities and property

  • May provide residential, recreation, and transportation assistance as needed

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required); advanced degrees preferred

  • Job Corps or related program experience (preferred)

  • Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required)

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, climbing, walking, pulling/pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching, or ability to assess lift load and request assistance as needed

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer Job Corps or related program experience. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and /or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
