Sumter County Correctional Institute
General Duties:
Provides instruction in academic areas of Science, Mathematics, Language (Reading and Writing), and social sciences for HSE (GED/HiSET) preparation. Maintains the established routines and procedures of the college and classroom to which they are assigned. Performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Dean of Adult Education. Promotes adult education programs to public and private organizations and the general public—other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, preferably in education or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have at least three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years in an education-related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be student-oriented and customer-friendly. A Valid Driver’s License is required.

Compensation:
Commensurate with education and experience. The position is part-time, temporary, and less than 15 hours per week.
