  • Financial and Performance Management: Manage budgets, evaluate risk-reduction investments, track key metrics, and drive timely corrective action.

  • Perform other duties consistent with the scope and level of the position.

  • Minimum seven years of progressive safety, environmental, insurance, claims, or operational risk leadership experience; ten or more years preferred.

  • Experience leading multi-site operations, driving safety culture, and influencing leaders and employees across all levels of the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and risk management principles; DOT, EPA, MSHA, state requirements, and industrial hygiene experience preferred.

  • Experience managing insurance programs, broker/carrier relationships, claims strategy, litigation trends, and return-to-work programs.

  • Experience in heavy equipment, construction, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, rental, dealership, or similar field-based operations preferred.

  • Professional certification such as CSP, ARM, CPCU, CIH, or CRIS preferred.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, organizational, and change-management skills.

  • Ability to interpret regulations, prepare clear policies and reports, deliver executive-level presentations, and use data to guide decisions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant safety, claims, and compliance systems.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to satisfy Altorfer’s fleet eligibility requirements. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate)

Success Measures: Success will be measured by improved safety performance, reduced risk and claims costs, timely corrective-action closure, effective training and audit completion, stronger regulatory outcomes, consistent programs across locations, and development of a high-performing safety team.
