Full job description
Therapist/CRT/RRT
Provides respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians, according to established standards and practices.
Assesses patients requiring ventilators. Performs complete arterial blood gas analysis and machine maintenance. Administers respiratory therapy procedures as ordered. Responds to emergency calls (code 1000) and other situations as required. Adheres to safety related hospital policies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served.
AA degree or BS in Respiratory
National Board of Respiratory Care Registry. Alabama Licensure in Respiratory Therapy
BLS and ACLS required. PALS and NRP preferred. Ability to move heavy equipment and diagnostic equipment.
(Student Therapist must have a HS Diploma or GED and currently enrolled in an accredited program of Respiratory Therapy)
