Visiting Faculty - Biology
Northwestern College invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting faculty position in the biology department (https://www.nwciowa.edu/biology) , beginning January 2027. We seek a dynamic educator who is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach a range of biology courses, including molecular genetics, cell biology and/or microbiology. The teaching load is typically two courses per semester, plus labs.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s or doctoral degree in biology or a closely related field
Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching biology

Strong commitment to in-person undergraduate teaching and mentoring
