  1. Must be admitted to a graduate degree program.

  2. Must be in good academic standing

  3. Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

Scope of Job

Office of the Registrar is looking for Graduate students seeking a part-time position to provide support and assistance.

  • Assists with processing of CSCR (Class Schedule Change Request) forms for different semester terms.

  • Reviews and approves event requests in Ad Astra for academic spaces.

  • Assists with special projects and tasks related to academic and event scheduling.

  • Reviews reports for academic class schedules for the different semester terms.

  • Provides specialized support that requires computer skills, data entry accuracy and software savviness.

  • Provides support to Scheduling Coordinator and team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Discipline Specific Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regional accredited institution.

  • Be a current full-time UTRGV Graduate student (9 hours during the Fall or Spring semester and 3 hours during Summer months).

  • Be able to work physically at the Edinburg Campus.

  • Must have a superior level of customer service.

  • Must have excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Be able to multi-task.

  • Ability to learn various operational systems.

  • Work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines.

  • Must possess superior interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly organized multitasker

  • Must be able to prioritize work in order to meet multiple deadlines.

  • 6 months of customer service experience.

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus (speak, read, and write).
