The Wheaton Medical Center has an opening for a full time Patient Care Tech (PCT)!

This position offers 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with a requirement of every third weekend and every third holiday.

Great for nursing students, CNAs, or anyone seeking work in patient care who wish to gain experience and refine skills.

Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The Patient Care Technician provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies preferred.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.
