ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, is seeking a Batch Plant Operator RMX who will be the technical heart of the plant. This person will use computerized systems to precisley batch concrete in accordance to strict engineering mix designs.

This position is located in Hubbard, Texas.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Monitors plant vitals to detect mechanical failures early, and ensures automated safety interlocks are functional and strictly follows LOTO during maintenance.

  • Accountable for generating precise electronic batch tickets for every single load.

  • Ensures all automated system errors, manual water overrides, and mix design changes are electronically logged and backed up.

  • Inputs and monitors aggregate moisture percentages, adjusting trim water in real-time to maintain the target water-to-cement ratio.

  • Responsible for preventing catastrophic material waste.

  • Ensures precision batching to avoid expensive out-of-spec rejected loads, and ccurately controls material weighing to prevent 'over-yielding'.

  • Effectively communicates with the drivers to efficiently complete customer orders.

  • Supports client milestones by maintaining constant, high-quality production outputs.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; Two (2) to three (3) years of specialized technical training, apprenticeship, or relevant certifications are strongly preferred

  • Professional Experience (Required): Minimum of 1-3 years of related customer service or dispatch environment experience

  • Computer Skills: Dispatch systems, Personal Computer, Telephone and Telephone Headset

  • Highly proficient in automated batching software (e.g., Command Alkon) configured for both central wet mixers and dry transit-mix truck charging

  • Sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time

  • Climb on equipment, stairs, and ladders as needed

  • Walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground conditions) and enclosed spaces

  • Work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, and/or dusty conditions.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed which will include Saturdays and overnights

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
