Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the Certain Competitive Service / Modified Direct Hire Authority. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer Responsibilities You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist within the Enterprise Services Division. You will direct the planning, implementation, and lifecycle management of the portfolio, ensuring all activities support the mission requirements of the command. You will conduct complex market research and cost-benefit analyses to justify the acquisition of new technologies and services. You will negotiate and define IT requirements and service level agreements. You will develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates. You will interview candidates for non-supervisory positions in the unit; makes selections for appointments, promotions, or reassignments. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of specialized experience may include some of the following: 1) Conducting complex market research and cost-benefit analyses to justify the acquisition of new technologies and services; 2) Formulating and justifying annual budgets and defends resource requirements; 3) Negotiating and defining IT requirements and service level agreements; and 4) Ensuring effective integration and collaboration. Education There is no substitution of education for this position. Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
