This is an in-person position, and not eligible for remote work.
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development advances the University's research, innovation, and economic development mission. They support faculty, staff, and students in securing external funding, conducting impactful research, fostering partnerships, and translating discoveries into solutions that benefit society.
Description of Duties:
The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Office of the Vice President for Research and Development at the University at Albany. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and independence. Responsibilities include coordinating travel, processing financial transactions, maintaining records, scheduling meetings, supporting office operations, and assisting with events. This is an in-person position.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
A minimum of 4 years progressively responsible administrative or office support experience.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.

Experience coordinating domestic and international travel arrangements.

Experience processing travel reimbursements and reconciling purchasing card transaction
Preferred Requirements:
-
Associate's degree or higher. Experience working in higher education, research administration, finance, or a related administrative environment.

Familiarity with SUNY and/or Research Foundation financial and travel policies.

Experience using enterprise financial, procurement, travel, or records management systems.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 (DOE)
