The Impact You Will Make
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and driving effective, modern and strategic public affairs and corporate reputation marketing campaigns. You’ll lead client engagements in whole or in part. You will help drive the strategic point of view for clients, guide a team and independently produce new ideas and proactively build new relationships on behalf of the agency.

Starting Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000 (+ annual bonus)

Location: Expectation to work from DC or NYC offices at least 3 days a week
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like

Campaign Management – You will be responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of integrated awareness and persuasion campaigns across brand reputation and policy-shaping efforts. You will be expected to interpret research findings, create a strategic approach and then partner with targeting experts, creative, media planners and others to write a sophisticated, integrated campaign plan using paid, earned and owned tactics.

Digital Paid Advertising – Leading ad strategists, media planners and buyers, marketing analytics and other specialists to deliver excellence for your clients, you will oversee the development of messaging and digital content for marketing campaigns, as well as review and guide a wide range of deliverables from reports and memos to presentations to social and digital advertising assets.

Client & Account Management – You will be responsible for driving the strategy, deepening the trust of your clients and supporting BPI’s Partners and Executive Leadership team on a variety of accounts. You will serve as the main point of contact and oversee the daily management, communication and execution of services for the client, which often include senior management or executive level decision-makers.

Team Management & Communication – You will be responsible for developing members on your team in their fields of expertise and building them to become the next leaders in the agency. You will coach and mentor your team’s performance and manage their quality of work to ensure they are efficient and effective in meeting client deliverables. You will work collaboratively and communicate with internal, cross office and cross department team members to ensure timelines and quality expectations for client deliverables are met.

New Business Efforts– You will work with agency partners and other senior leaders to develop and pitch new business opportunities. You are capable of managing the agency’s existing clients and establishing new client relationships. In support of new business opportunities, you are comfortable drafting proposals and producing materials for client pitches with minimal direction and oversight from agency Partners.

What You Bring

10+ years of experience across public affairs, brand management and paid digital marketing

Proven track record of working on complex client accounts (or related issues) and delivering successful advocacy and media campaigns

Comfort in presenting and briefing everyone from F100 C-Suite leaders to 30 cross-functional colleagues at every level

Deep knowledge of cross-channel marketing, with the ability to think analytically about a problem

Operate with a high level of organization and precision—managing scopes, budgets, reporting, and team delivery with excellence, all while leading multiple workstreams simultaneously

Ability to mobilize fast-paced, highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams

Exceptional presentation, writing and analytical skills and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight timelines

Stay immersed in policy conversation, competitive trends, and the media landscape to fuel real-time relevance and creative storytelling

Experience managing large teams with multiple layers, providing clear feedback to team members and driving professional growth at every level

Comfortable handling strategic planning and daily execution of services for clients

A fast learner who can quickly get up to speed on any public affairs topic
