Full job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Medical Assistant in Gardena, CA! This role is in person / onsite . Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration:

Type: Four-month contract, with opportunity for extension or full-time offer

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:

Patient Intake & Clinical Support:

  • Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms using ACE standard work.

  • Record vital signs and document patient history in the electronic medical record.

  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during visits.

  • Administer injections as directed.

  • Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and EKGs.

  • Maintain quality control (QC) logs and ensure clinical documentation is accurate.

  • Answer and return patient phone calls.

  • Process paperwork, faxes, and manage provider in-baskets.

  • Coordinate patient flow and assist with daily clinic operations.

  • Maintain accurate patient records using the electronic health record (EHR).

Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.

  • Current Medical Assistant certification required.

  • Previous Medical Assistant experience required.

  • Experience working in a primary care or outpatient clinic preferred.

  • Knowledge of Epic EMR is highly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
