Construction Site Safety Officer (SSHO) Military Construction Projects | Kings Bay Naval Base Saint Mary's, GA
Join RQC, LLC, a leading Design-Build contractor specializing in military, federal, and large-scale commercial construction projects across the United States.
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SSHO) to support military construction projects in the Saint Mary's, Georgia area for ongoing work at Kings Bay Naval Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with experience in commercial construction, federal projects, NAVFAC, USACE, DoD construction, EM 385-1-1 compliance, and OSHA regulations.

The SSHO serves as the onsite safety leader and is responsible for implementing and enforcing project safety programs in accordance with:

This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive jobsite.
This is a full-time, onsite position. Travel or relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates outside the area.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 annually (DOE)

Qualifications
-
5+ years of commercial construction experience
-
5+ years of construction safety experience at the jobsite level
-
Experience with NAVFAC, USACE, DoD, or federal construction projects preferred
-
Working knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations
-
Competent Person training and/or experience in fall protection, excavation/trenching, confined spaces, electrical safety, scaffolding, and PPE
-
Documented safety training averaging 24 hours annually over the past 5 years
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
-
Experience with RMS, QCS, or Viewpoint preferred
Required Certifications

OSHA 30-Hour (within the last 5 years)
