Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as liaison to designated construction agents and represent SSP at meetings and conferences to direct Command positions. You will monitor the work performed by contractors to ensure quality products and installation and assures that construction conforms to the approved design and SSP facility design criteria. You will investigate, coordinate and resolve construction deficiencies, contract deviations, change requests, technical requests for information, and other technical issues encountered during construction. You will develop, plan, and conduct verification and validation inspection and testing to ensure the construction meets client requirements. You will manage and oversee facilities projects as the Contracting Officer's Representative on contracts, as designated by the Contracting Officer. You will conduct technical reviews of design and construction submittals and other technical documents for conformance to requirements and criteria. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing professional engineer work managing facilities construction; and/or performing construction quality assurance to identify and resolve design and construction deficiencies and contract deviations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in competitive service. This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-3 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 and GS-13. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
