Visiting Nurse Association of SEMO is looking for an In Home LPN (Pay Per Visit)
INTRODUCTION: The In Home program assists adults in maintaining themselves in their own homes despite a decrease in ability. Provides one-on-one patient interaction in a home setting. Payment is through Medicaid, VA, Long term care insurance and Private Pay. Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is a non-profit organization. Will also assist with Private Duty nursing one day a week. Private Duty nursing is a one-on-one care in the home typically serving pediatric clients, who have specialized healthcare needs and require long-term skilled medical care.
TYPE OF WORK INVOLVED: In home nursing provides weekly medication setup, Diabetic and Anticoagulant nailcare, general health assessments, check vital signs and supervision of staff performing advanced tasks in the home.
TRAINING: Training involves a 30 day period where policies and procedures are covered. Computer training will cover the use of the handheld used to make patient visits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Have at least one year of nursing experience, one year in Hospice or Home Health setting preferred, and a Missouri nursing license.
Must have reliable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
Must pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, registered w/Family Care Reg.
Must not be listed on Employee Disqualification List (EDL)
Must complete an application in full and furnish at least 2 credible business references with correct addresses and telephone numbers.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35.
