Full job description

Company Description Farther is a rapidly growing RIA that combines expert advisors with cutting-edge technology - delivering a comprehensive, tailored wealth management experience.

Farther’s founders are leaders and innovators from the private wealth industry who possess a unique blend of traditional wealth management, fintech, and technology production expertise. We’re backed by top-tier venture capital firms, fintech investors, and industry leaders.

Joining Farther means joining a collaborative team of entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients and our teammates achieve more. If you’re the type who breaks through walls to get things done the right way, we want to build the future of wealth management with you.

The Role

You've got the skills. Maybe you've got clients, too. Either way, you're ready for more — more support, better tools, and a real path to building something that's yours. This is an opportunity to grow alongside a senior advisor with over a decade of experience across retirement planning, tax-efficient investing, equity compensation, estate coordination, and private markets. You'll get real mentorship, real responsibility, and a real runway.

Whether you're coming in with a small book or building from scratch, you'll be set up to succeed. We provide the platform, the infrastructure, and the support so you can focus on clients.

Your Impact

  • Serve existing and prospective clients across financial planning disciplines including retirement, tax strategy, equity compensation, real estate, and estate coordination

  • Support senior advisor client relationships and take on increasing ownership over time

  • Handle new client inquiries and leads — turning warm introductions into long-term relationships

  • Prospect for new clients through referrals, community engagement, and professional networks

  • Leverage Farther's technology and planning tools to deliver a high-quality, personalized client experience

  • Contribute to team operations and support internal succession planning as the practice grows

The Ideal Match

  • Series 65 or 66 license required

  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning or wealth management

  • Strong foundation in financial planning concepts — retirement, investment management, tax basics

  • Relationship-first mindset with genuine care for clients' long-term outcomes

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment

  • Self-starter who can manage a pipeline and own follow-through

Bonus Points

  • CFP® or actively pursuing it

  • Existing book of business (any size welcome)

  • Experience with corporate executives, tech professionals, or retirees

  • Background in financial planning software (eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, etc.)

  • Austin-based or Austin-area connections

Why Join Us

  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (health & dental, vision) & retirement benefits (401(k) matching & Roth IRA options), unlimited PTO, growth opportunities at a fast-scaling fintech, veteran industry experts to learn from

  • Transitions Made Simple: We streamline your client transition with personalized planning, communication support, and full operational assistance — letting you focus on what matters most.

  • Compensation: Top-tier industry payouts, plus the opportunity to grow your book 3X faster with better client solutions and virtually zero ops and admin work.

  • Location Flexibility: Work where you work best. We're built for both remote and hybrid collaboration across major hubs and anywhere in between.
