Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a Jr. HR Specialist-Benefits to join their team. As a Jr. HR Specialist-Benefits, you will be part of the Human Resources department supporting employee benefits initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Jr. HR Specialist-Benefits

Location: Chester, NY (Onsite)

Pay Range: $22-$28/hr

What's the Job?

  • Assist employees and their dependents on various benefit plans, while serving as back-up to Employee Benefits Senior Manager.

  • Administer benefit programs and oversee the disability plan.

  • Conduct benefit orientations and process benefits enrollments/changes, employee terminations, and status changes in the HR system.

  • Work with benefits vendors and coordinate wellness initiatives.

  • Research and resolve benefit issues including claims assistance and assist with Open Enrollment and ACA compliance.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of HR experience required; 1-2 years of benefits experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of benefits and claims processes, as well as HR benefit laws such as FMLA, ADA, and COBRA.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
