Full job description
The D.A. Collins Family of Companies has brought safety, quality and productivity to industrial, infrastructure, highway, and bridge construction for over 75 years. We are seeking a dependable individual for a full-time position as a Field Engineer to join a dedicated and hard-working team in Newburgh , NY .
Job functions will include but are not limited to:

Evaluate and analyze construction plans
-
Review shop drawing submittals
-
Measure and track quantities of work in place
-
Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
-
Solve moderately complex problems
-
Assist with creation of functional project schedules meeting desired deadlines
-
Maintain organized project records
-
Be dedicated to safety and maintaining a healthy work environment
-
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
-
Perform a variety of tasks that may include periodically having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, stretch, walk, climb and bend under potentially adverse field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as back up spotting and hear and react to back up alarms, per safety protocol
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or environmental engineering

Knowledge of business concepts and accounting

1-3 years' experience / internships / co-ops in a heavy civil environment

Strong work ethic

Self-motivated
-
Proficient computer skills

Values teamwork & communication

Must pass pre-employment drug screen

Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time

Position will require travel
Compensation:
Field Engineer I - Range of Pay - $68,000-$74,000
Field Engineer II - Range of Pay - $75,000-$80,000
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
