Position Highlights:

  • Provide specialized care for diseases and surgery of the posterior segment.

  • Collaborate with other services to manage multidisciplinary cases.

  • Participate in clinical trials and implementation of protocols.

  • Engage in academic activities including teaching medical students, residents and fellows and fostering basic science and clinical research.

  • The Department plans to launch an ophthalmology residency program in 2028, followed by a vitreoretinal fellowship

Qualifications

  • MD degree with completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency.

  • Fellowship training in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in ophthalmology.

  • Eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.

  • Clinician scientists are encouraged to apply.

The expected annualized salary range for this position is $573,500 to $839,250. This range reflects full-time (1.0 FTE) base compensation. Compensation for the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including experience, internal equity, and external market data.
