Full job description

Job Summary: To provide spiritual support/resources/counseling for staff, internal customers and those in the community. Provide accurate information and support to area clergy and congregations. To be consistently visible throughout the hospital and to build key relationships with staff. To provide support and be available for CaroMont Regional Medical Center customers.

Qualifications: Master's degree in divinity, theology, spirituality from an accredited school (SACS or ATS) strongly preferred; Bachelor degree required. (degree requirement does not apply for employees hired prior to 2000). Completion of a minimum of one (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an accredited Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) Center required; at least 2 CPE units preferred. Be in good standing with a denominational body. Annual session to assess pastoral and spiritual functioning with the Manager. Strong interpersonal skills. Capability of ministering to diverse ages and religious/cultural backgrounds. Professional knowledge and clinical ability sufficient to develop and maintain collegial relationships with physicians, nurses, social workers and other members of the health care team. Ability to work independently, take initiative and be held accountable.
