A leading behavioral health provider in Orlando, FL, is seeking 10 Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Psychiatric and Behavioral Health team. This is a day-shift position (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) offering a competitive rate of $50 per hour, with overtime paid at $75 per hour. Newly hired nurses complete a one-week orientation held Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, the RN assesses the medical and psychiatric needs of patients, administers medications, monitors patients throughout the detoxification process, and collaborates on interdisciplinary treatment plans to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care. Ideal candidates bring prior psychiatric and behavioral health nursing experience and hold an active Florida RN license or Compact RN license. Additional shift options—including nights, PRN, Panama schedule, and overtime—are also available.
Qualification and Requirements

Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Psychiatric and Behavioral Health nursing experience

Ability to pass a Level II background screening

Responsibilities

Assess medical and psychiatric needs to determine urgency and prioritize care accordingly
-
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients during the detoxification process

Provide education to patients and families regarding medications, health concerns, and medical conditions

Support interdisciplinary treatment plans to ensure safe and effective patient care
