Full job description

Job Summary

The Overnight Cleaner will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members by keeping the club clean and neat for prospective members and guests. You will also be responsible for ensuring the club is thoroughly cleaned throughout the night.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning thoroughly and sanitizing Locker Rooms:

  • Showers

  • All Tile

  • Toilets

  • Floors

  • Mirrors

  • Changing rooms

  • Trash

  • Keeping Stocked:

  • Toilet paper

  • Paper Towels

  • Soap *Any other tasks or duties given by Management

  • Custodial experience is preferred.

  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.

  • Ability to work third shift is a must.

  • Honesty and exceptional work ethic.

  • Ability to solve problems independently.

  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Customer service background preferred.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • A passion for fitness and health.

  • Upbeat and positive attitude!

  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.

  • Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

Physical Demands

  • Continual standing and walking during shift.

  • Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.

  • Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.

  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.
