Full job description

Hiring Bonus: $1000 after successful completion of 120 days and an acceptable attendance record

ABW has an immediate opening for a dimensional inspector who tests and inspects products at various stages of production processes and compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and identification of products. We are looking for someone who is experienced and can perform the following duties.

  • Proficient in operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM) / Romer arms for automated quality inspections

  • Performs inspections and tests per QC Manual, QA Manual, procedures, instructions, drawings, and travelers at specified stages in production process

  • Inspects and/or tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics

  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality of products or materials

  • Records inspection and test data

  • Evaluates inspection and/or test data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelers

  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production manuals, procedures, instructions, drawings, or travelers to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability

  • Sets up and performs nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance or material characteristics, as applicable
