WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity across assigned categories.

  • Handle strategic supplier relationships and lead negotiations to achieve cost savings, mitigate risk, and support business objectives.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to align sourcing activities with business needs.

  • Identify and mitigate supplier and supply chain risks through proactive planning, performance monitoring, and contingency strategies.

  • Drive supplier performance through scorecards, business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead supplier selection, contract management, and capacity planning activities to ensure long-term supply reliability and scalability.

  • Foster strong supplier partnerships that promote collaboration, innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

  • Use data, analytics, and market intelligence to support sourcing decisions and evaluate supplier capabilities.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in a relatively large supply chain organization is preferred.

  • Passion for leading and developing people.

  • Experience directly managing complex categories.

  • Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and adapt to a high growth environment.

  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10%.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$105,000.00 - $195,000.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
