Transdev in Elmira, NY is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Overseeroadservice assignedcarriersbytrackingtripperformance measures,route beginontime,

performance, incidents, etc.

• Providecustomersupportbyrespondingtoquestionsandconcernsregardingcustomertripsincludingno shows, cancellations and missed trips.

• Manageemergencysituationsforvehicleoperators;actasliaisonbetweenthecarrierandemergency services.

• Managedailyservicebyreviewingrouteperformanceandproactivelyrespondingtosituationsthatimpact customer service.

• Otherdutiesasrequired.

Qualifications :

• HighSchoolDiploma orGED;TechnicalDegreepreferred.

• 3-5 years'experiencedispatching.

• Excellentverbal,interpersonalandcustomerserviceskills.

• Problemsolving andanalyticalskills.

• Mustbe able toworkshifts orflexible workschedulesasneeded.

• SubjecttoaDOTdrugtestingandphysicalifapplicable.DOTRegulation49CFRPart40doesnot authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Workoutsideinvaryingtemperature,weather,andhumidityconditions-100%ofthejobisperformed outside, work alone and in remote locations.

• Sitforextendedperiods (upto6–8hours perday);frequentlywalkforlongdistances andonpossible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

• Pushandpullobjectsupto 25 pounds,occasionallythroughouttheworkday;liftmaterialweighingupto 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

• Withstandheavytrafficareaswhileperformingthedutiesofthejob;tolerateexposuretoconsiderable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
