Your Impact at SAM
The Survey Project Manager is responsible for leading land surveying projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that all deliverables meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, company quality standards, and financial objectives.
Acting as the primary liaison between SAM and its clients, the Survey Project Manager oversees both field and office teams, supports business development efforts across multiple markets, and contributes to staff growth and development.
Key Responsibilities

Lead land surveying projects from planning through final delivery

Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, contracts, billing, and overall financial performance

Supervise and coordinate field and office teams, resources, and work plans across multiple concurrent projects

Provide technical oversight and sign/seal survey deliverables, including plats, easements, exhibits, and right-of-way documents, as required
-
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and company quality standards
-
Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships with clients, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
-
Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities, contributing to proposals, and fostering client relationships
-
Mentor and develop staff and represent SAM at client meetings, presentations, and industry events
What You Bring to SAM

Previous industry-related experience in a professional or project management capacity

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline/and or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects

Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members

Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team

Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly
-
Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others

Professional License preferred
