Position Highlights
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of a registered professional nurse assists with surgical procedures; including assisting with therapeutic, preventive and emergency patient care duties; and preparation, operation and maintenance of surgical equipment, instruments and supplies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of a surgical tech program or minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience in the operating room and Central Sterile.
Certification from surgical tech training program preferred.
Computer skills
Strong communication skills. Ability to follow instruction under pressure, show compassion and empathy.
