Full job description
The Gathering Spot is looking to hire a Communications Specialist within the marketing department reporting to the Marketing Manager to be responsible for member communications.
Job Responsibilities:

Drafting targeted communications to members regarding member events, club updates, and member benefits including but not limited to:
-
Email
-
Push Notifications
-
Text Messaging
-
Managing Email Lists - updating, segmenting, cleaning

Act as a liaison between membership, operations and marketing team to communicate necessary information to membership

Works closely with Member Events team to monitor event attendance and adjust communications accordingly

Ideates and creates local promotions to attract new members and increase engagement of existing members
Job Requirements:

Strong written and oral communication skills
-
Attention to detail in order to produce timely, error-free work
-
Proficient in email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp
-
Design skills including Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva recommended
-
Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress
-
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
-
Thrives in continuous improvement, fast-paced environment

Undergraduate degree preferred but not required
-
Flexibility including availability for weekend and evening work
