KeystoneCare is seeking a compassionate and experienced physician to serve as an Associate Palliative Care Medical Director . This role provides clinical leadership and oversight for our growing palliative care program, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across various settings.

This position offers flexibility and may be structured as either full-time or part-time based on candidate availability.

Requirements

  • Provide medical oversight and clinical guidance for the palliative care program
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, social work, chaplaincy, etc.) to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Conduct patient evaluations and ongoing clinical management for palliative care patients
  • Support symptom management, advance care planning, and goals-of-care discussions
  • Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Provide education and mentorship to clinical staff
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, hospitals, and community partners

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with a current, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
  • Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (preferred) or relevant experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology, or internal medicine
  • DEA registration (active and in good standing)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience (palliative or hospice preferred)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
