What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in cake decorating techniques, specialty cakes, pies, and desserts

Knowledge of bakery production and equipment
-
A passion for customer service

Strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
-
Preparing, decorating, packaging, pricing and merchandising specialty cakes, pies and desserts

Assisting customers on the phone and in person

Producing special orders and specialty items to customer specifications

Informing customers about bakery products
-
Ensuring stocking and rotation of all bakery products and supplies
-
Maintaining clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment
-
May be required to utilize equipment such as mixers and ovens
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Outgoing, friendly, neat and professional

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills to ensure excellent customer service

Ability to solve practical problems

Possesses basic math skills

Strong organizational skills
Education and Work Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age

At least 2 years experience in cake decorating preferred
Requirements:

Requires standing, walking, bending, and/or climbing throughout the entire work day

Repetitive arm and hand movements; bending, carrying, and lifting

Requires transferring product either horizontally or vertically of up to 50 lbs
-
Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible store assignments and hours
