Job Description

Substitute for teacher aides, monitors, and clerical staff.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers

  • Flexibility to work with students and adults in different classrooms

  • Take initiative

  • Help teacher prepare and set up

  • Reinforce lessons and provide students assistance

  • Enforce classroom rules

  • Enforce school rules outside the classroom, which may include bus duty and cafeteria duty

  • Help to meet the needs of all students

  • Work in several classrooms throughout the day

  • Other responsibilities as directed by the Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma

  • Ability to work well with children and adults

  • Patience

  • Dependability

  • Sub Aides and Monitors must have at least 1 year of experience working with children.

  • Sub Clerical must have taken a typing or keyboarding course. (This can be a course that was taken in high school)

SUBSTITUTE ORIENTATION:

Before being added to the Substitute Teacher Aide list, you must complete all paperwork and view an online orientation. Once your references have been checked, you will receive a docusign link containing onboarding documents and information.

PAY RATES:

Sub Aide, Monitor: $16.75/hour

Clerical: $17.25/hour
