Make a statewide impact in the lives of individuals with complex clinical and behavioral needs.

Community Based Services (CBS) provides statewide residential, vocational, and consultative services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Mental Illness (MI), focusing on supporting people with complex behavioral needs and co-occurring disorders. This position will lead and support a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians dedicated to improving client wellbeing and supporting individuals transitioning into and out of CBS services.

The role is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision, and oversight to behavioral health providers across CBS programs statewide. This includes supervising a team of clinicians from various disciplines, such as Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, and Licensed Professional Counselors, while also serving as an expert consultant to staff and programs. This position plays a key role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of CBS services, with additional team growth anticipated in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals with IDD, ASD and/or mental illness in integrated community settings.

  • Develop and oversee individualized, interdisciplinary support plans for clients with complex behavioral needs including IDD, ASD and/or co-occurring disorders

  • Lead the design and implementation of community-based residential and vocational services for peoplewith IDD and/or ASD and/or co-occurring conditions, that promote independence, self-determination and community integration.

  • Recruit, supervise, and develop qualified clinical and support staff across multiple disciplines statewide.

  • Ensure coordination of services that support meaningful employment, skill development, and reduced reliance on paid supports over time.

  • Provide oversight of clinical service delivery across residential and vocational programs.

  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies, and community organizations to support service delivery and resource development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Psy. D. in Psychology; AND

  • Licensure as a Psychologist by the Minnesota Board of Psychology; AND

  • One year of post-license experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred knowledge and experience supporting people with a diverse range of disabilities and conditions, including intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), genetic disorders, and mental health conditions with expertise in co-occurring disorders.

  • Advanced knowledge of current practices in clinical psychology, behavior analysis, community consultation, risk management, program evaluation, quality improvement, research, and organizational development, particularly as they apply to people with IDD, ASD and/or co-occurring conditions.

  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical and psychological assessment, individualized treatment planning, positive behavioral supports, and evidence-based interventions for people with complex support needs.

  • Strong knowledge of ethical, legal, regulatory, and professional standards related to psychology, behavioral health, disability services, and the provision of clinical and behavioral supports.

  • Ability to provide clinical consultation and leadership across diverse programs and professional disciplines.Experience providing or overseeing residential and/or vocational supports for people with IDD and ASD, including consultation related to the assessment of support needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized support plans.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated sensitivity to the needs and interests of staff, clients people we support, and stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners.
