ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a RN-PATIENT PLACEMENT to join our PATIENT PLACEMENT team!
Salary Range: $45.02- $68.87 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY/NIGHT ROTATION, 12 hours
Weekend Requirement: Occasional Weekend
FTE: OCCASIONAL, 0.001000 FTE
The Staff Nurse provides clinical expertise, medical communication and quality assessment and works in conjunction with the access center team for the coordination of timely patient transfers, direct admissions into and out of St. Luke’s.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: See Licensure/Certification/registration requirements.

Experience: Three (3) years experience in patient care.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current license in Minnesota to practice as a Registered Nurse. BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire into position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience: Previous experience in transfer center or access center, patient placement role, and intake RN experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must possess clinical background and/or a degree in nursing, with the ability to accurately and effectively decipher and disseminate clinical information. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to problem-solve and relate effectively in a professional and compassionate manner. Must possess the ability to collaborate with community members as well as St. Luke's team. Must be a progressive, organized, creative self-starter who is able to develop ideas independently while being flexible to change. Must have ability to travel.

READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.

SPEAKING - Advanced: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Intermediate Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or interpret bar graphs to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
