POSITION SUMMARY

The Salesforce Project Manager runs delivery and sustainment for a Salesforce Center of Innovation. You will manage scope, schedule, risk, dependencies, and resources across both new development and the ongoing operations and maintenance of multiple Salesforce orgs, while facilitating the team's Agile practice.

The role is both hands-on and outward-facing. You will run the ceremonies and keep the backlog healthy, and you will also be the person leadership comes to for status, risk, and what is actually going to land this sprint. It suits someone who understands the Salesforce platform well enough to plan around release cycles and org dependencies, and who can protect a team from churn while giving stakeholders a straight answer.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Delivery Management

  • Manage development and support activities through Agile sprint cycles, including scope, schedule, risk, dependencies, resources, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Track and manage risks, issues, and actions to closure rather than to a status column.

  • Maintain visibility into sprint commitments and cross-team dependencies so surprises surface early.

  • Balance enhancement work against operations and maintenance demand so sustainment does not quietly crowd out delivery.

  • Coordinate work spanning multiple Salesforce orgs, accounting for shared dependencies, release windows, and competing application team priorities.

Agile Facilitation

  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

  • Remove impediments and protect the team's focus during the sprint.

  • Coach the team in Agile practices and work to improve flow and predictability over time.

Backlog and Tooling

  • Maintain a groomed and prioritized backlog that reflects real delivery priorities.

  • Maintain Jira work items so the board is an accurate picture of the work rather than an afterthought.

  • Promote consistent use of Agile tooling and practices across the team.

Reporting and Stakeholders

  • Provide transparent status, risk, issue, action, and milestone reporting to company and customer stakeholders.

  • Produce monthly performance reporting against contract standards.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations across competing priorities and communicate schedule impacts before they become escalations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5 years of relevant experience in project management, Agile delivery, or enterprise IT program support.

  • Experience managing operations and maintenance delivery across multiple Salesforce orgs.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

  • SAFe Agilist or comparable scaled Agile credential.

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.

  • Jira and Confluence administration, including board and workflow configuration.

  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.

  • Prior federal or public sector delivery experience, including reporting to a government customer.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The team operates against contract service levels for sprint completion of committed stories, on-schedule completion of release management support tasks, and monthly performance reporting. Specific targets are reviewed during onboarding.

WORK LOCATION

Primarily remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional on-site support at customers facilities may be required, along with limited off-hours availability for releases, outages, and critical incidents.
