Full job description
Job Description
Perform construction inspections/testing for building construction projects, observe contractor's conformance to the plans and specifications, and field reporting.
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

Geotechnical inspections and testing during construction, including soil density testing using a nuclear density gauge, earthwork, asses unsuitable soil conditions, foundations, subgrade review, concrete testing, rebar inspections, pre-slab inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel bolted and welded connection inspections, cold-formed steel inspections, and road construction inspection and testing.

Preparation of field reports.

Geotechnical laboratory testing (concrete and soil) per ASTMs.

Responsible for driving to and from work sites from office or home.

Minimum education of a High School diploma or GED

2 or more years of relevant experience in geotechnical inspections and testing during construction, including soil density testing using a nuclear density gauge, earthwork, undercutting of unsuitable soils, foundations, subgrade review, concrete testing, rebar inspections, pre-slab inspections, masonry inspections, structural steel bolted and welded connection inspections, cold-formed steel inspections, and road construction inspection and testing.

Geotechnical laboratory testing (soil and concrete), ACI certification for concrete testing, or able to obtain soon after employment.

Proficient in preparing field reports.
Must have valid and current driver's license.. · Nuclear Gauge Safety Training Certification, or able to obtain soon after employment.
