H and B Ag operates a corn and soybean crop production, along with a cow/calf operation. We are seeking a seasonal employee to assist with our fall harvesting from September through November, as well as spring field preparation and planting from March through May. The employee will also support our calving operations—fall calving in November and spring calving in March. We bring the cows in to calve in October and return them to pasture in March. While the cattle are confined for calving from November to March, employees will need to assist with the daily care and feeding of the cattle. Once the cattle are returned to pasture in the spring, they require no daily care or feeding until the next calving season.

Job duties include preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, and manure spreaders. The employee will engage in planting, weeding, spraying, and harvesting activities; load and unload crops or materials manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers; and drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools. Additional responsibilities include preparing fields and equipment for seasonal field work and performing maintenance and repairs on farm machinery and vehicles such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
