Assistant Beekeeper (FL)

Description Role Overview We’re hiring a few Assistant Beekeepers to support our field operations team in Fort Meade Florida. This is a hands-on, entry-level role focused on learning the fundamentals of beekeeping while assisting experienced team members with daily hive management and maintenance. No prior experience is required—we provide training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced beekeepers with hive inspections and routine maintenance
- Support hive setup, construction, and transportation
- Perform labor-intensive tasks such as lifting, loading, and equipment handling
- Help prepare materials and equipment for daily fieldwork
- Follow instructions to support pest management and hive treatments
- Assist with honey extraction and processing activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while working in the field
What You’ll Learn
- Basics of hive structure, bee behavior, and seasonal hive management
- Safe handling of bees and beekeeping equipment
- Introduction to hive health, pests, and environmental factors
- Field operations within a commercial beekeeping environment
Requirements Qualifications
