Schedule: Full time Shift: Night-Weekend (United States of America) Address: 201 COUNTY RD 466A City: FRUITLAND PARK State: Florida Postal Code: 34731 Job Description:
Schedule: 12 hours per shift Shift: Night 2100-0900
Provides primary patient care activities on transports approved within scope of practice as defined by EMS Medical Director. Assesses, plans, implements intervention, and evaluates the appropriate level of patient care according to scope of practice, EMS Protocols, department policies and procedures. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions and treatments, as appropriate. Educates patients and family members about patient illnesses and clinical interventions. Inspects and maintains equipment to ensure the safety of transport team members, patients, and the general public. Monitors and anticipates needs for additional equipment and appropriately secures tools to meet patient care demands during transport. Operates emergency vehicles safely in a variety of weather and emergent conditions in accordance with established safety standards. Maintains the unit in a constant state of readiness and completes medication, supplies, and equipment inventories each shift, restocking as needed. Ensures patient and departmental documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance at all times. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills [Required]
Education:
- Associate [Preferred]
- Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
- of science in health-related field.
- Successful completion of UMBC, University of Florida, AdventHealth EMS Critical Care Paramedic curriculum, or AdventHealth University Critical Care Paramedic curriculum OR Critical Care Paramedic certification (CCEMT-P, CICP, UF CCP, FP-C, CCP-C). Required
Work Experience:
- 1+ advanced life support transport experience. [Required]
- 3+ critical care transport experience. [Preferred]
- 5+ advanced life support transport experience [Preferred]
- 5+ driving passenger vehicles [Required]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required]
- Commercial Drivers License (CDL) [Required] OR
- Driver's License (DL) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required]
- Commercial Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) [Required] OR
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) [Required]

Pay Range:
$23.94 - $44.53 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
