Full job description
Energy Engineer
Amentum is looking for an Energy Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA to support our mission critical customer. The selected candidate will perform as a lead and expert energy manager for one of the most complex buildings operated by the US Government.
Must possess an active Top Secret security clearance.
Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain a strategic energy management plan
-
Trend analysis for greenhouse gases, fuel consumption, water consumption, sewer throughput, peak performance, and energy consumption
-
Ensure building modifications comply with code requirements
-
Coordinate and work closely with program management and government customer to define system specifications and requirements
-
Develop, maintain and produce an energy conservation report
-
Verify and comply with energy documentation standards and submissions.
-
Prepare, deliver and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies.
-
Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.

Serve as primary contract point of contact for energy management

Perform planning activities to develop and maintain a Strategic Energy and Water Management Plan (SEWMP)

Develop an Energy and Water Conservation Plan (EWCP)
Preferred Qualifications
-
Certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional (AP)
-
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
-
Experience in the application of government regulations, codes and standards
Compensation Details:
150-175k
