Full job description

Job Title: Associate I Payroll

Location: Abbott Park, IL

Pay Range: $25 to $29/hr on W2

What's the Job?

  • Support payroll tax processing activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Work with state agencies on tax notices and related documentation

  • Collaborate with tax providers, manage power of attorneys, and third-party authorizations

  • Handle multi-state tax issues and filings efficiently

  • Participate in testing and project activities related to payroll tax processes

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma with 2-3 years of payroll tax experience

  • Solid understanding of federal, state, and FICA taxes

  • Experience with payroll tax filing and working with state agencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel

  • Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
