Full job description

The Behavioral Center of Michigan, an accredited psychiatric hospital providing high levels of psychiatric care to adult patients and committed to person focused care is looking for a Social Worker to be responsible for ensuring the medically related emotional and social needs of the patients are met and maintained on an individual basis in accordance with policies and procedures, and current TJC, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.

Qualified candidates must have a Masters in Social Work from an accredited program and current license as Social Worker with State of Michigan. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinical setting or as a licensed counselor, demonstrated competency in abnormal psychology, developmental disabilities, personality theory, community systems theory, practice, psychological testing, counseling theory and practice. Must be well versed in-diagnostic developmental assessments, health care delivery, proven ability with handling documentation in an organized and efficient manner and working well within an interdisciplinary team. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong interpersonal and problem solving skills with proven ability to build and motivate their team.

This is a contingent position
