Arquitectonica is an award-winning, design-focused architecture and planning firm with a worldwide practice of 500+ employees located across eleven offices. Our Miami Headquarters is seeking a Project Designer with a minimum of 5 years of architectural work experience to join our team.

Position Overview

As a Project Designer at Arquitectonica, you will work on a variety of projects and be involved in the early stages of design. You will be a contributing member of a collaborate, multi-disciplined team to develop and present projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, finalize, and present project designs using both 2D and 3D software, including AutoCad and Revit

  • Ability to work on all elements of design including floorplans, sections, elevations, massing area tables

  • Review and revisit designs as project parameters solidify, making adjustments as needed

  • Work with the team leaders, team members, and clients to ensure accuracy of early design work

  • Collaborate and coordinate with project consultants

  • Research and incorporate artistic elements into designs as needed

  • Ensure design specifications comply with all building and zoning codes, and other project specific requirements

  • Liaise with various professionals, consultants, and government departments to coordinate project details

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit is required

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Undergraduate degree in architecture or related design field, master’s degree in architecture preferred

  • Actively pursuing, or has completed NCARB ARE testing and licensure

  • 5 years of work experience, 3+ years of experience in Multi-Family Residential and Commercial projects preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of building codes, including Florida requirements

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to flag and correct potential design issues

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage daily tasks independently, manage junior staff workload, and junior staff work product

  • Ability to work and problem-solve with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds positive relationships

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present design ideas and direction, both verbally and graphically

  • Ability to work on multiple projects quickly and simultaneously while maintaining attentive client interactions

  • Desire to work exclusively on front end of design process

  • Visualization background and skills highly preferred

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international travel, as necessary

Compensation

Compensation will be based on the candidate’s experience and abilities.

This is a full-time role based in our Miami office. Please note:
