The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist performs non‑invasive vascular examinations, operates ultrasound equipment, educates patients, maintains accreditation standards, and assists with invasive procedures while adapting to new technology.

Key focus areas include Perform non‑invasive vascular examinations, Operate two‑dimensional, Pulsed Doppler and Color Flow Doppler ultrasound equipment, and Educate and prepare patients for exams.

Preferred (not required): Ultrasound Equipment Operation, Two‑Dimensional Imaging, Pulsed Doppler, and Color Flow Doppler.

Full job description

Job Summary: To perform various non-invasive vascular examinations in order to assess for vascular disease. Operation of ultrasound equipment including two-dimensional imaging, Pulsed Doppler and Color Flow Doppler. To educate and prepare the patient for the exam, maintain vascular accreditation requirements and when necessary, assist with invasive vascular procedures.

Qualifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required. At least six months experience preferred. Considerable skill in performing various vascular ultrasound examinations. Ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/examinations are introduced. Ongoing participation in continuing education. Ability to work closely with physicians and ancillary staff.
