Are you passionate about helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential? Join Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) as an Employment Specialist and play a meaningful role in helping people build confidence, gain independence, and find success in the workplace.
In this rewarding position, you'll do more than help people find jobs. You'll serve as a coach, mentor, advocate, and connector, empowering people to discover their strengths, develop valuable skills, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities that align with their interests and goals.

What You'll Do:

Support people in identifying career interests and developing skills for workplace success

Assist with resumes, job searches, applications, and interview preparation

Provide job coaching and ongoing support to help individuals thrive in their roles

Build strong partnerships with local businesses and create employment opportunities within the community

Encourage confidence, independence, and personal growth through meaningful employment experiences

Collaborate with families, employers, and support teams to ensure successful outcomes

Maintain documentation and contribute to person-centered planning and Life Plan Reviews

Help shape innovative programs and opportunities that expand choices and improve quality of life

Employment Specialist Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid NYS Driver's License is required.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM (hours may vary depending on needs)
The position is 37.5 hours per week
Pay Rate: 18.75 - $21.50 per hour + based on experience!
