  • Establish and oversee the Architecture Review Board and other governance processes to ensure all projects comply with architecture standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in healthcare, including Generative AI, Interoperability, and personalized experience, and develop strategies for their adoption.

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand strategic drivers and translate them into actionable architectural designs and technology solutions.

  • Drive technology lifecycle management, from evaluation and selection of new technologies to the rationalization and retirement of legacy systems.

  • Ensure architecture quality and compliance by conducting regular reviews, security audits, and risk assessments.

  • Develop and manage the architecture budget and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources and analyzing the ROI of technology investments.

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on technology strategy, architectural initiatives, and their business impact to both technology and business leadership.

We’re Looking For:

Healthcare Technology Strategy

  • Deep expertise in creating and executing enterprise-wide technology strategies with a specific focus on healthcare systems, data, and regulatory needs.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) that integrate business, information, and technology.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to connect technology initiatives to long-term business value in a healthcare payer context.

Technology Leadership & Governance

  • Extensive experience leading architecture review boards and governance processes to ensure compliance with standards and regulations like HIPAA.

  • Strong knowledge of modern technology stacks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and contemporary architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, APIs).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of senior architects with expertise in healthcare.

  • Establish and operationalize a Technology Executive Council to drive strategic technology alignment and decision-making across the enterprise.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and influence senior executives, cross functional leaders, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Proven skills in stakeholder management, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical and business audiences.

  • Experience driving significant digital transformation initiatives related to member engagement, provider collaboration, and population health management.

Financial Acumen & Value Measurement

  • Proven experience in developing and managing departmental budgets, resource allocation, and financial planning for technology investments.

  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage frameworks for measuring the business value, ROI, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of technology initiatives.

  • Experience in providing financial analysis and business case development for major technology decisions to support executive-level approvals.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration is preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or IT leadership, with a focus on the healthcare industry.

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership and people management capacity.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare-specific systems and data, including EHRs, claims processing systems, and member engagement platforms.
