Full job description

Snyk is the leader in secure AI software development, helping millions of developers develop fast and stay secure as AI transforms how software is built. Our AI-native Developer Security Platform integrates seamlessly into development and security workflows, making it easy to find, fix, and prevent vulnerabilities — from code and dependencies to containers and cloud.

Our mission is to empower every developer to innovate securely in the AI era — boosting productivity while reducing business risk. We’re not your average security company - we build Snyk on One Team, Care Deeply, Customer Centric, and Forward Thinking.

It’s how we stay driven, supportive, and always one step ahead as AI reshapes our world.

Our Opportunity:

Snyk is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Sales to lead a multi-layer enterprise sales organization and drive significant revenue growth. In this role, you will serve as both a strategic leader and a hands-on first-line manager — directly managing a team of Enterprise Account Directors while also leading a Manager who runs their own team of Mid-Market Enterprise reps. You’ll set the vision, build the culture, and roll up your sleeves to help close the most strategic deals across your region.

Why This Role?

As Senior Director, Sales at Snyk, you’ll lead one of our most complex and high-impact sales organizations. You’ll shape how we go to market with enterprise and mid-enterprise customers, and play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth during an exciting period of AI-driven transformation in developer security. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a layered team where your coaching, operational rigor, and strategic instincts directly influence outcomes across multiple segments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as acting first-line manager for a team of Enterprise Account Directors, driving pipeline, deal strategy, and quota attainment directly.

  • Lead and develop a Manager who runs a team of Mid-Market Enterprise reps, coaching them on management fundamentals, team development, and regional execution.

  • Own overall revenue targets across your layered organization, holding both your direct reps and your manager’s team accountable to quarterly and annual goals.

  • Build a high-performance culture of accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and hire top enterprise sales talent and develop internal successors.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Executive leadership to enable your teams and accelerate deal cycles.

  • Engage directly in strategic deals alongside your reps, bringing executive presence and deal-closing expertise to the most critical opportunities.

  • Manage and forecast sales pipelines across segments, ensuring accurate, timely reporting and proactive risk mitigation.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of experience leading enterprise sales teams, including at least 2 years managing managers (second-line experience).

  • A demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets in a complex, consultative sales environment selling technical or cybersecurity solutions.

  • Experience functioning as a working first-line manager for direct reps while simultaneously developing a manager layer — comfortable operating at both levels.

  • A strong coaching philosophy with a track record of developing both individual contributors and first-line managers.

  • Excellent pipeline discipline, forecasting accuracy, and operational rigor.

  • A collaborative, one-team approach to selling and leading.

It’d Be Awesome If You Also…

  • Have experience selling cybersecurity solutions, particularly in developer security, AppSec, or cloud security.

  • Have led a team through a period of rapid growth or organizational change.

  • Bring familiarity with MEDDIC/MEDDPICC or other enterprise sales methodologies.

  • Have built or significantly expanded a regional enterprise sales motion from the ground up.

Annual Base Salary Range: $180,000 – $225,000

Target Commission Range: $180,000 – $225,000 (at 100% attainment of sales)
