Base Pay: $17.00

Job Purpose and Basic Function:

Assists with clinical and patient support.

Description of Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Assists with clinical and patient support.

a) Prepares and stocks exam rooms with appropriate equipment and supplies.

b) Obtains patient data and documents in patient record.

c) Orders and processes RetinaVue testing for eligible patients as directed by a provider or clinical support.

d) Schedules follow-up appointments for patients.

e) Assists with completing CLIA log tasks.

f) Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and orderliness of exam rooms and clinical work areas.

General Development

  1. Functions effectively in response to workflow or ongoing direction by supervisors.

  2. Effectively selects from pre-established alternatives to resolve situations encountered on the job.

  3. Provides or exchanges routine information.

  4. Exercises tact and diplomacy in the resolution of mild conflicts or disagreements.

Examples of Duties: (This is not all inclusive)

  • Obtains accurate patient data.

  • Documents in the Medical Record.

  • Assists with cleaning and stocking of exam rooms.

  • Performs retinal scanning for diabetic visual changes.

  • Assists with maintaining patient flow.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED

  • Current BCLS certification preferred; training can be provided
