Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Beautiful country side: Fun Fact the property was once owned by Elizabeth Montgomery (Bewitched actress).

Only a few miles away from the individual’s favorite stores, there are 8 individuals (6 ladies and 2 gentlemen) fun loving age range 48-100 they all attend route six center Carmel day program, they enjoy music, dance, arts and crafts, shopping and going out for their community. There are some physical needs at the house but the people here will sure put a smile on your face.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 38 hours weekly - Saturday 8a-10p, Wednesday thru Friday 2p-10p

Starting Salary: $19.44 - $21.39 per hour with additional shift differentials as applicable

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Acceptable NYS Driver's License
Computer skills
