Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Protein Purification Scientist to support neurodegeneration drug discovery programs within the NeuroImmune group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the purification, quality control, and delivery of human brain-derived Tau protein to support research aligned with the neurodegeneration portfolio.
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in protein biochemistry, purification from tissue samples, molecular and cell biology techniques, and assay execution. The scientist will work closely within a collaborative team environment, generating high-quality data, maintaining accurate records, and communicating results effectively to project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
-Execute Tau protein purification from human brain tissue using established protocols.
-Perform end-to-end purification workflows, including protein isolation, enrichment, quality control, and final product delivery.
-Conduct analytical and functional assays, including:
-HTRF assays
-MSD assays
-Western blotting
-RT-qPCR
-ELISA-based assays
-High-content imaging
-Perform and maintain aseptic cell culture -procedures.
-Support iPSC-derived neuronal culture experiments as required.
-Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to project teams and management.
-Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks (Signals ELN).

Skills and Requirements
-PhD in Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred
-Candidates with a Master's degree and relevant industry experience will also be considered
-Strong background in protein biochemistry
-Demonstrated hands-on protein purification experience, preferably from tissue-derived samples
Experience performing:
-Western blotting
-RT-qPCR
-Aseptic mammalian cell culture
-HTRF and/or MSD assays -Experience working with human brain tissue
-Experience purifying Tau protein or other aggregation-prone proteins associated with neurodegenerative diseases
-Hands-on experience with iPSC-derived neuronal cultures
