Salary Range: $52,341 -$70,000 based on experience and demonstrated abilities.

What you'll do:

Provide high-quality instruction to secondary students in a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, a high-level of engagement and eagerness to continue to learn and grow;

Work collaboratively with other teachers and community members to ensure continued learning of relevant skills and authentic application of those skills;

Support students as they develop a strong work ethic, pride in their work and the foundational skills employers have identified;

Willingness to develop/grow/promote the program to include all learners;

Differentiate instruction to ensure all students experience success.

Must hold a commitment to promoting equity, practicing cultural responsiveness, and creating inclusive environments.

Job Qualifications
Required:

Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license required

Should meet NYS Teaching Certification requirements in Health Occupations-Nurse's Assisting 7-12 or be able to meet requirements. Requirements for the Transitional A certificate are listed on the homepage of the NYS Education Department Teaching Certification under "Certification Requirements" in the category of "Career and Technical" Teacher (Health Sciences). Two (2) to four (4) years of occupational experience (full-time) or hold an approved industry-related credential is required.
